Design of multi-channel signal sampling and efficient data transmission based on FPGA and DSP

To meet the current requirements of multi-channel sampling and rapid transmission in underwater acoustic communication, this paper designs a set of underwater acoustic signal acquisition and transmission schemes based on FPGA and DSP. This scheme can achieve high-precision (24-bit) and highspeed (256KSPS) analog signal sampling by using the AD7768 chip. Efficient communication between the FPGA end and the DSP end can be realized by using the UPP peripheral. Moreover, with the support of Gigabit Ethernet, the sampled data can be transmitted to the upper computer for verification. The host computer software is developed using App Designer. Finally, the functional verification was carried out under laboratory conditions. It was capable of achieving high-speed sampling of the 10 KHz signal source and transmitting it to the DSP for verification with the host computer.
