Optimization of Construction Scheduling using Dynamic Programming

Complicated construction initiatives that take place in dynamic contexts require that many ambiguities be taken into consideration at the planning phase. Instruments for managing recurrent initiatives that take into consideration the ambiguities present in the construction context are severely lacking. This study aims to introduce a technique for the optimal scheduling of recurring construction initiatives in the face of ambiguity. The fuzzy set concept is used in the study to simulate the uncertainty related to various input variables. Specifically designed to receive input for various factors, carry out the required calculations, and effectively produce output in terms of fuzzy values, it uses a dynamic programming technique. The issue is described as a dynamic programming framework with two phases. A comparison between the suggested strategy and the traditional and expanded key chain administration methodologies was made to assess the system's effectiveness. The standard data test model studies and an actual construction initiative scenario are used for the verification. The suggested approach was validated through the presentation of cases and statistics. In the real scenario, the outcomes show how effective the suggested multi-objective temporal buffers strategy is. According to the findings, the suggested strong buffer sizing strategy produces a more durable strategy than the conventional approaches.
