Enhancing Navigation for Railway Station Facilities and Location

As cities are growing, the complexity of railway stations increases significantly. This makes it challenging for passengers, particularly first-time travelers, the elderly, and people with certain disabilities, especially those who are visually impaired. This paper introduces a solution that aims to enhance user experience at the railway station through interactive, AI-derived technologies, thus making it easier and more comfortable for the user. This system includes interactive station maps, a smart chatbot that can resolve user queries in real time, and text-to-speech voice guidance, which is particularly helpful for people with visual impairments. The other key functionalities include ticket booking assistance, real-time train updates, and as well as identifying accessible and quickest routes for passengers with mobility challenges. By combining web-based tools along with voice interaction, the traditional railway station transforms into a smart one, which is user-friendly and inclusive. Apart from all other existing systems, our solution uniquely identifies features like real-time route navigation, AI Chatbot, support, and accessible route planning using the Dijkstra Algorithm for railway station layouts. Initial trials proved that people can get around the station from Point A to Point B more efficiently, hence making it easier for them to access facilities. Overall, this supports the development of a smarter and inclusive transportation system.
