W-Alert: Empowering Women’s Safety with One Tap Video Recording and Voice SOS Location Sharing to Police

W-Alert is a smart safety app that offers emergency assistance through automatic alerts, real-time video recording, and location tracking. It comprises three safety features: The panic button records the surroundings, sends the video of these pressing seconds, and shares the details of the user with law enforcement officers. SOS activation through speech is achieved if a secret keyword is uttered by the user. A complaint system provides for reporting unsafe areas. Existing safety systems, in most cases, require user activation or slow intervention by users and have poor network support. W-Alert solves these problems by permitting cloud-based video sharing and offline SMS location alerts. The system constructed in Dart and Firebase guarantees dependable online communication alongside the required level of security for data storage. This work offers proactive, scalable, and dependable solutions to improving women’s safety in critical situations.
