Energy-Efficient UAV Trajectory-Aware Superframe Method for Medium Access Control Protocols

In the present work, an energy-efficient trajectory plan and data collection/aggregation method is proposed for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) application. In the proposed method an energy-efficient TDMA approach is used for collection of data from sensor nodes. The superframe architecture is used for the collection of the data. The UAV follows snake like trajectory for grid architecture. The performance of the proposed method is compared with the existing traditional TDMA MAC protocol. The results proves the superiority of the proposed method with respect to the existing method. The present work also analyzes the literature of the existing contribution of the researchers related to the present work.
