Wireless Immunity Enhancement Using Waveguiding Techniques for High Voltage Battery Packs

In this paper, a method is proposed to enhance the immunity of the wireless communication within a compact metal enclosed high voltage battery pack environment. In this method, structural modifications of the pack are utilized as a technique to improve the immunity of wireless network communication. The cross members are modified by introducing gaps with and without dielectrics to promote better received signal strength indicator for the different antennas that monitor the cell parameters within the battery pack.
