Electromagnetic Scattering Fields of Underwater Regular-Shaped Metal Targets Using Method of Moments

To study the influence of different shapes of underwater regular perfect electric conductor (PEC) shell targets on their scattering characteristics, this paper establishes geometric models of the targets under the condition of equivalent cross-sectional dimensions. The Method of Moments (MoM) is employed in the software to compute the scattering properties of underwater targets. By varying the interaction distance between the radiating antenna and the target, the antenna operating frequency, the intersection angle between the trajectory and the x-direction, the electromagnetic scattered field components are analyzed to compare differences in low-frequency electromagnetic scattering characteristics among regularly shaped underwater targets.
