Design of DC-DC Buck Converter Using 180Based Technology with Over-voltage, Over-temperature, and Over Current Protection for WSN Applications

This paper outlines the design and implementation of a DC-DC synchronous buck converter utilizing 180- based technology tailored for Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) applications. The converter incorporates robust protection mechanisms against over-voltage, overtemperature, and over-current conditions to ensure reliable operation in challenging enviro-ents. Through detailed analysis and experimentation, the effectiveness of the proposed converter design is demonstrated, showcasing its suitability for powering WSN devices while safeguarding against potential hazards. The simulation results confirm the successful reduction of the input voltage from 3.3 V to 2.5 V by the converter, indicating its effective step-down functionality. Additionally, the device exhibits an efficiency of $84.51 \%$ when subjected to a load current of $\mathbf{1 0 0 ~ m A}$. These findings underscore the converter’s suitability for Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) applications, where stable voltage regulation and energy efficiency are crucial factors.
