Optimizing Funding and Networks for MSME Success A Quantitative Analysis in Bekasi

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a pivotal role in the economic development of emerging economies, yet many face challenges in optimizing business success due to insufficient access to funding and limited entrepreneurial experience. This study investigates the impact of business networks, funding, and entrepreneurial experience on the success of MSMEs in Bekasi, Indonesia. The primary aim is to analyze how these factors contribute to the performance of MSMEs and to identify the mediating role of entrepreneurial experience in enhancing business outcomes. A quantitative causal research design was employed, involving 159 MSME participants. Data was collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS). The findings reveal that both funding and entrepreneurial experience have a significant positive impact on business success, while business networks alone do not exhibit a direct influence. Additionally, entrepreneurial experience is found to mediate the relationships between both business networks and success, as well as funding and success. This study provides critical insights for MSME actors, emphasizing the importance of leveraging entrepreneurial skills and securing adequate funding. It also underscores the need for increased collaboration with stakeholders such as government agencies and industry partners to enhance MSME development through targeted training and mentoring programs. These findings offer practical recommendations for improving the resources and strategies MSMEs need to optimize their growth and sustainability.
