Weighted Loss based Range Doppler Coupling Elimination Algorithm

Linear frequency modulated pulse compression technology resolves the contradiction between operational range and ranging accuracy in radar measurement. However, the radial motion of targets introduces range doppler coupling effects in pulse compressed signals, leading to ranging errors. This paper elaborates on the causes of range doppler coupling, analyzes and summarizes the principles and performance of traditional coupling elimination algorithms, and proposes a deep neural network based range doppler coupling elimination algorithm using a weighted loss metric. Experimental results validate its correctness and effectiveness.
