Research on Online Map Information-Driven Electric Vehicle Testing Method Based on HIL

With the rapid development of electric vehicles, the characteristics of vehicle intelligence and networking have become increasingly prominent, putting forward higher requirements for the performance of the vehicle control unit (VCU). This paper aims to evaluate the energy consumption of electric vehicles through a test method of building a hardware-in-the-loop platform, combined with online map information, and through the test of the VCU. Firstly, an electric vehicle model was built, including a driver model, a motor model, etc.; secondly, a virtual test scenario based on online map information was established, covering information such as weather and road conditions; then, an HIL test system was built, and the interaction between networking information and the HIL cabinet was realized through CAN communication technology. Finally, based on the established HIL test system, the electric vehicle was tested under typical urban road conditions, and the test results were analyzed. The test shows that this method can accurately test the energy consumption of electric vehicles according to the simulated complex and changeable networking working condition scenarios, and can also significantly improve the efficiency and accuracy of the functional evaluation of electric vehicle controllers.
