Analysis of Causes of Abnormal Electricity Consumption in Reverse Phase Sequence Voltage Conditions of Smart Electric Meters

In addition to common faults such as loss of current in the secondary circuit of current transformers and loss of voltage in the secondary circuit of voltage transformers, there are also faults such as phase errors in voltage and current of smart electric meters, and reverse polarity connections of voltage transformers and current transformers during the operation of electrical energy metering devices. These faults lead to inaccurate metering, affecting the fairness and impartiality of metering. This paper combines the complex metering faults of reverse phase sequence voltage and reverse polarity connection of current encountered during the operation of 10kV high-voltage supply and high-voltage metering users. Based on the variation patterns of data curves from the acquisition system and the steps for live wiring inspection, the paper introduces methods for analyzing and judging metering faults, drawing conclusions on incorrect wiring. By considering the nature of the load and the average power factor angle, two methods, namely the correction coefficient method and the error rate method, are used to calculate the compensation for electricity. Measures are proposed for prevention.
