Analysis of Power Quality for Micro-Hydropower and Photovoltaic Power Plant Coordinated Power Supply

China has a vast territory of water area. As a typical clean energy small hydropower has excellent capacity of peak and frequency modulation, in addition, it also has a good influence on restraining the power flow of the system. Small hydropower is widely distributed and is conveniently constructed. It is the general trend of new energy research that small hydro power is used to control photovoltaic power generation synergicly and realize small hydropower and photovoltaic power generation together, as well as multi-sourses generation cooperarively. Firstly, this paper introduces the current states and progress of distributed generation research at home and abroad. Secondly, the main indexes and evaluation standard of power quality are briefly explained. Besides, we introduce the composition, mathematical model and simulation model of solar photovoltaic grid connected to the main grid, it goes the same with the small hydropower system. Last but not least, I set up a simulation model of small hydropower and photovoltaic power generation cooperarively with the help of EMTP-RV. Based on the results of the simulation, we analyze those data theoretically and come out with a conclusion. We also make a expection of the prospect of the development of multi-sourses generation cooperarively.
