The Hotspots and Frontiers of Artificial Intelligence-powered Online Education: A Visualization Study Based on CiteSpace Knowledge Graph Analysis

With the breakthroughs in computer technology, artificial intelligence has become one of the most empowering frontier technologies of contemporary times, driving new developments in the field of online education. To understand the current status of the development of artificial intelligence-powered online education, this study utilizes the visualization software CiteSpace to analyze relevant data from the Web of Science (WoS) from 2015 to 2025. By analyzing annual publication output, academic authors, countries, institutions and keywords, this research summarizes the hotspots and development trends of artificial intelligence-powered online education. This provides a comprehensive overview of the development and evolution trends in the field, highlighting the shortcomings of existing research.
