A Cross-Domain Knowledge Graph-Based Cognitive Inspiration and Alignment Method towards Innovative Design

In the new information age characterized by data explosion, it is critical to leverage resources such as requirements information and multi-domain design knowledge to stimulate innovative design process. In order to improve the diversity and innovation of the design scheme, a cross domain knowledge graph is constructed to inspire designers’ cognition. Moreover, with various solutions, a design cognitive alignment method is proposed to accelerate the collaboration between designers and eliminate the uncertainty caused by differences in designer attributes. With an illustrative case study in engineering design context, it shows that the cognitive inspiration and alignment method promotes the sharing and transfer of multi-domain knowledge and advances the reach of the consensus.
