Construction of evaluation model for higher vocational teachers' core literacy based on improved C4.5 decision tree

Objective: To construct an evaluation model of teacher core literacy based on improved C4.5 decision tree algorithm. The application value of this model in teacher training of higher vocational colleges is discussed. Methods: The evaluation system of higher vocational teachers' core literacy was set up from six dimensions: teacher ethics, major, education, innovation, collaboration and information. The level of higher vocational teachers’ core literacy is divided into 5 target levels. The improved C4.5 decision tree algorithm is used to select the feature values of core literacy, and the grade classification model is constructed. According to the evaluation results of the core literacy of different teacher groups, the four-stage cooperative management is carried out to optimize the path of teaching staff construction. Results: Compared with the traditional C4.5 decision tree algorithm, the classification accuracy of the improved C4.5 decision tree model remained at a higher level, and the processing efficiency was improved. The training model of four-stage cooperative management effectively improves the core literacy and provided strong support for improving the level of teaching staff construction.
