Design of a Triple-Band Red-Ultraviolet Flame Detector and Research on Feature Extraction Algorithms

Given the high false alarm rate characteristic of ship flame detectors, the study discussed the detection mechanism of three-band infrared and flame detection hardware circuit and flame recognition algorithm. The variance mathematical model of three-band flame feature perception was established based on the spectral information of infrared and ultraviolet combined with the eigenvalue extraction circuits and the flame observation window. The accuracy and reliability of the algorithm have been verified using alarm response experiments and anti-interference experiments at different detection distances. The results showed that the method can effectively reduce the false alarm rate of the flame detector, the flame recognition distance can reach 10 m, and the flame response time was less than 5 s. This study has a great significance for flame monitoring in ship engine room and outdoor deck.
