AI-Driven Vulnerability Scanning and Verification for Power Information Systems

With the digitalization, networking, and intelligence of power systems, Power Information Systems (PIS) have become a critical infrastructure supporting modern electricity production, transmission, and distribution. However, as the openness of these systems increases, the complexity of security threats, particularly system vulnerabilities and external attacks, poses significant risks to their stability and security. This paper focuses on the application of intelligent vulnerability scanning technology in PIS, aiming to enhance system security and improve vulnerability remediation efficiency. The study reviews the basic concepts and components of PIS, analyzes major security challenges, and compares traditional and intelligent vulnerability scanning techniques. It also discusses the application framework of intelligent vulnerability scanning, leveraging machine learning and AI for vulnerability identification. The results indicate that intelligent scanning technologies offer substantial potential in identifying unknown vulnerabilities and emerging threats, thus ensuring the safe and stable operation of power systems.
