Synthesis and Application of solvate ionic liquids-Based Quasi-Solid-State Electrolytes

In this study, a quasi-solid-state electrolyte composed of solvated ionic liquid Li(G4)TFSI and ordered layered LDH material was developed. Systematic electrochemical characterizations revealed that the electrolyte exhibits a wide electrochemical window (~5.0 V). The ionic conductivity is significantly enhanced, reaching 3.60 × 10^-3 S cm^-¹ at 30°C and further increasing to 1.30 × 10^-2 S cm-¹ at 70°C. This exceptional conductivity originates from the sufficient adsorption of the solvated ionic liquid on the external surface and within the layered channels of the LDH material. Notably, when paired with a LiFePO₄ cathode, the electrolyte demonstrates outstanding electrochemical performance: a specific capacity of 110 mAh g⁻¹ at a 1.0 C rate, highlighting its excellent high-rate capability.
