Pole-Assignment Aided ZN (Zhang Neurodynamics) Controllers for Time-Varying Linear System (TVLS) as an Attempt

Zhang neurodynamics (ZN) method is effective and widely applicable, with significant applications in time-varying problems solving. In this paper, we explore how the pole assignment (PA) method, which improves the dynamic performance of systems, is applied and aided in the ZN output tracking controller. A PA aided ZN (PA-aided ZN) output tracking controller is thus designed for handling the output tracking problem of time-varying linear system (TVLS) as an attempt through theoretical derivation, both in continuous-time and discrete-time forms. In numerical experiments, the output tracking performance of this controller is evaluated using four examples, including both successful and unsuccessful cases, and the combination effectiveness of the PA method in the ZN method framework is discussed.
