Vehicle Navigation and Positioning Technology Based on GIS Platform

When vehicles operate in off-road environments, the devices providing navigation and positioning data often exhibit instability[1]. Therefore, how to rapidly deliver reliable navigation and positioning data, as well as improve the accuracy of vehicle navigation and positioning, constitutes a research topic of significant practical importance. This paper proposes the integration of Dead Reckoning (DR), the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS), and the Inertial Navigation System (INS) [2] to form a comprehensive navigation system. By leveraging a Geographic Information System (GIS) to extract constraint conditions, a constrained estimation method is established to reduce the computational load of the navigation algorithm, thereby enhancing its real-time performance.
