Design and Development of a Fingerprint-Authenticated Safe Box with Unauthorized Access Detection

This paper presents the design and development of a smart safe box system utilizing biometric fingerprint authentication to ensure secure access control. This system allows access to authorized users to unlock the safe box and issue an alert when unauthorized users attempt to open the box. To provide a robust mechanism for storing valuable items, the system integrates an Arduino Uno R3 microcontroller with a fingerprint sensor (AS608), a piezo buzzer, and a solenoid lock. The fingerprint sensor plays a critical role in verifying user identity, allowing only authorized individuals to unlock the safe, while the buzzer generates audible alerts for unauthorized access attempts. The microcontroller processes sensor inputs and executes corresponding output actions to enhance system reliability.
