Design of Smart Cattle: Real-Time Health Monitoring System with IoT-Enabled Micro Services

This paper presents an IoT-based system designed for continuous and remote monitoring of animal health. The system employs sensors-such as temperature and pulse rate modules-to collect real-time physiological data, which is processed by an Arduino Uno microcontroller. A Wi-Fi module transmits the data to the ThingSpeak platform, enabling live visualization and remote access for farmers and animal caretakers. The system offers key advantages including real-time monitoring, automated data collection, and early detection of potential health issues, thereby reducing the manual workload of veterinary personnel. Experimental validation on livestock confirmed the system's accuracy and reliability in measuring vital signs, particularly temperature. By enabling timely intervention and health management, the proposed solution contributes to improved animal welfare, increased productivity, and reduced economic losses in the livestock industry.
