Rethinking and Exploring the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence Applications in Education

The rapid progress of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping human production, life and learning modes, and its integration into the field of education has become an inevitable trend of technological progress. However, in the process of integration of intelligent technology and education, new ethical challenges are also bred. This study conducts a comprehensive analysis by collecting and analyzing relevant cases and literature on AI applications in education. At the level of education technology utilization, algorithmic discrimination and data divide are the main sources of ethical risks; at the level of teacher - student relationship, the risks mainly stem from the misalignment of the ethical relationship between teachers, students and both parties; in addition, the risks in education ecology are mainly reflected in the lack of social justice triggered by value - based discrimination, which further aggravates the inequality in education. In response to these issues, we put forward the following four recommendations: first, optimize human interaction to promote harmonious coexistence; second, pay attention to personal privacy protection to ensure data security; third, improve decision - making transparency to promote public understanding; and fourth, strengthen responsibility and supervision to ensure that science and technology are for the good. The implications of this study lie in providing practical guidance for educators to better navigate AI - related ethical issues, promoting the healthy development of AI in education, and contributing to the construction of a more just and efficient educational environment. Through these measures, we look forward to promoting the benign development of AI, empowering and increasing intelligence for education, and jointly building a community of destiny in the age of intelligence.
