Quantum Coupled-Giant-Cavity Gyroscopes under Strict Braided Topology

Recent progress reveals that surface-acoustic-wave (SAW) cavities can exhibit significant quantum coherence at the single-photon level, introducing new physics and potential advantages in sensor design. When multiple SAW cavities couple to the same waveguide at separated points, the inherent nonlocality resulting from the separations introduces an underlying directional coupling. How this directionality impacts sensing is still an open problem. To address this problem, we propose a quantum gyroscope based on a multiple-point-coupling system, and thoroughly discuss its unique time-delayed dynamics as well as the underlying directional couplings. Our results reveal that this directional coupling can exhibit a nonreciprocal transfer, which is a powerful resource for enhancing sensing capabilities.
