Research on Operation Optimization and Control Strategy of the Multi-Energy Complementary System Based on Photovoltaic Photothermal Solar Hydrogen Production

Within the global climate governance framework, energy structure restructuring exhibits an accelerating trend. Renewable energy utilization represents a key focus area in the energy sector. Solar-powered water electrolysis enables high-efficiency resource utilization and power dispatch, facilitating spatiotemporal energy storage and redistribution. However, current studies predominantly concentrate on enhancing stand-alone system hydrogen production efficiency, lack performance analysis under demand-side response conditions, and are coupled with insufficient research on real-time control strategies. Therefore, this study developed an integrated multi-energy system coupling photovoltaic-thermal (PVT) units with a proton exchange membrane electrolyzer (PEM) for hydrogen production, along with corresponding power control simulation models. Using an industrial park integrated energy system as a case study, we conducted a comparative analysis of three distinct equipment configuration scenarios in terms of carbon reduction potential and economic viability while investigating intra-hour fluctuation response control strategies. Results indicate that the model reduces carbon emissions, demonstrates favourable cost-effectiveness, and provides references for energy system power-control strategy research.
