Optimization of Integrating Sphere Structure for Partial Discharge Optical Sensor Calibration

In order to solve the problem that there is no uniform test method and calibration platform for PD optical sensors, this paper takes the light guide rod as the object and simulates it in Tracepro software. Firstly, the measuring principle of two kinds of optical sensors is introduced briefly, then integrating sphere system is introduced and its structural parameters are optimized, which enhances the applicability of integrating sphere system in the study of calibration and evaluation of optical sensors. The simulation results show that the larger the area of the light barrier and the farther the distance from the light entrance hole, the better the light uniformity performance in the integrating sphere, but there is a maximum point; when the radius of the integrating sphere is set to 200mm, it is most suitable for the calibration of optical sensors.
