Research on 3D Reconstruction and Application of Grid Information Model

In order to advance the 3D design process of power transmission and transformation projects, State Grid Corporation of China has designed the Grid Information Model (GIM) that is applicable to the entire life cycle of power transmission and transformation projects. To promote the popularization of 3D design in power grid projects and deepen the application of GIM data results, this paper sorts out the hierarchical relationship of GIM, parses the GIM file, then constructs a parametric model using an open-source engine, and finally realizes model visualization using the 3D engine OSG. Experiments have been conducted on the proposed method process to verify its feasibility.
