A High-Power Filtering Method with Parallel Structure of Fractional-Order Positive and Negative Inductor

Conventional physical inductor suffers from problems such as large volume and weight, low power density and high cost. Therefore, this paper proposes a high-power filtering method with parallel structure of fractional-order positive and negative inductor (FOPNF). It contains an equivalent circuit and control strategy of high-power fractional-order negative inductor (FONL). First, the port voltage and current of the FONL are sampled. Subsequently, the driving signal for the switch is generated, enabling the fully-controlled bridge circuit to exhibit the characteristics of a fractional - order negative inductor. Next, the FONL is connected in parallel with the positive inductor. Finally, appropriate control parameters are chosen to achieve a larger inductance. Verified by simulation experiments, this scheme can significantly enhance the inductive reactance, thereby reducing the volume and weight of physical inductors.
