Field-Oriented Control of Bearingless Permanent Magnet Slice Motor in Matlab/Simulink

Bearingless Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (BPMSM) integrate magnetic suspension and torque generation, making them suitable for high-speed, ultra-clean applications. This paper develops a dynamic model of the BPMSM in the rotating reference frame and proposes a field-oriented control (FOC) strategy to achieve independent control of rotor position and torque. An active disturbance rejection controller (ADRC) is integrated into the FOC scheme to enhance robustness. The control system is validated through Matlab/Simulink simulations, demonstrating fast response, precise regulation, and strong disturbance rejection. The results confirm the feasibility of applying FOC to BPMSM for efficient and stable operation.
