Offline step-by-step Parameter Identification Method for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Based on Signal Injection

This paper proposes an offline step-by-step adaptive identification algorithm for the resistance and inductance of permanent magnet synchronous motors. The resistance identification is achieved by the injected voltage amplitude self-tuning algorithm, thereby avoiding the overcurrent issue in the inverter caused by directly voltage injection. During the discharge process after resistance identification, the d-axis inductance is pre-identified based on the resisitance-inductance characteristic. The pre-identified inductance can be used for the following inductance identification. The inductance identification is realized by high frequency voltage injection with a PI controller. The control parameters are adaptively tuned using the identified resistance and the pre-identified inductance, along with the high-frequency voltage amplitude. The proposed method is validated on a 2.2kW PMSM drive.
