A Multisystem Coordinated Adjustment Strategy for Deformation Compensation of Large Active Main Reflector Antenna

Large active main reflector antennas are widely used in radio astronomy and deep space exploration due to their high surface accuracy. This paper proposes a novel multisystem coordinated adjustment strategy for deformation compensation, which simultaneously considers the active main reflector, subreflector, and servo system to significantly improve a key electromagnetic parameter: beam pointing during the adjustment process. The core idea is to divide the adjustment process into multiple steps based on the maximum actuator displacement of the active main reflector. At each step, the subreflector is repositioned to optimally match the main reflector, while the servo system is used to correct the pointing error. Analytical expressions for the adjustment values of all three systems at each step are derived. A 35-meter reflector antenna is used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed coordinated adjustment strategy. The results show that, compared with the traditional method, the proposed approach significantly enhances the pointing accuracy throughout the adjustment process, thereby guaranteeing consistently high observational precision and stability during simultaneous real-time deformation correction and antenna tracking operations.
