Robust Automated-monitoring System for Laying Hen Behaviors on Commercial Egg Farms

Optimizing egg production and hen welfare is crucial in modern poultry farming. Traditional monitoring methods are labor-intensive and impractical for continuous observation. To address this, Precision Livestock Farming (PLF) technology enables automated, real-time monitoring. This demo presents a cost-effective system using computer vision and deep learning to track hen behaviors continuously. By analyzing behaviors and environmental factors like temperature, we identify correlations that provide insights into flock welfare. Our non-invasive system enhances data-driven decision-making, improving both animal well-being and farm productivity. This technology marks a significant step in advancing poultry farming efficiency and sustainability.
