Three-dimensional Imaging System Using Grating Plate and Linear LED

This paper presents a novel 3D imaging system with a grating plate and linear LED devices as its core components. By projecting structured light and employing a three-step phase-shifting method, the system achieves high-precision 3D reconstruction. In contrast to traditional DLP digital projectors, this system utilizes a grating plate to generate fringe patterns. By alternately controlling the illumination states of individual LED elements, the system can dynamically adjust the phase of the projected grating, enabling the acquisition of 3D surface information of objects. Experimental results demonstrate that the system has been effectively applied to surface morphology detection of corroded metal samples, showcasing impressive measurement accuracy and stability. This research provides a new technical approach to develop miniaturized, high-performance 3D imaging systems, which hold significant academic value and promising practical application prospects.
