Research on the Optimal Layout of a Dehumidification System for the Yungang Grottoes Based on CFD

This paper addresses the issue of moisture-related damage in Caves 9 and 10 of the Yungang Grottoes caused by condensation, proposing a study on an optimized dehumidification system based on CFD numerical simulation. By constructing a high-precision three-dimensional model and calibrating boundary conditions using actual temperature and humidity data, multiple experimental scenarios were designed for comparison. The study found that the layout of different dehumidification equipment significantly affects the distribution of temperature and humidity fields within the caves. A superior solution was ultimately proposed, providing a technical pathway for microenvironmental control of large immovable cultural relics and promoting the application of CFD in cultural heritage protection.
