FMU 2.0 Model Encapsulation And Verification

The Functional Mock-up Interface (FMI) standard is widely used for model encapsulation and co-simulation. However, Functional Mock-up Units (FMUs) generated by existing tools have limitations in flexibility, code optimization, and rollback handling. This paper proposes a custom FMU2.0 encapsulation method, using Co-Simulation as an example, to enhance low-level control, cross-platform compatibility, and rollback capability. First, the FMI2.0 specification and FMU structure are analyzed to identify key encapsulation aspects. Then, an encapsulation framework is designed to optimize state storage and recovery mechanisms, improving solver adaptability and stability. Finally, a bouncing ball model is validated through Simulink simulation, comparing theoretical values with solver data from software-exported FMUs. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method significantly enhances rollback handling and cross-platform compatibility while maintaining high simulation accuracy.
