Optical Sequence Pattern Recognition of 4-symbol OOK Signal for Photonic Firewall

In this paper, a 4-symbol on-off keying sequence pattern recognition scheme is proposed. Sequence pattern recognition serves as the core mechanism of the photonic firewall. The recognition is based on optical time-delay, rotating and vector moving processing. The signal eye diagrams, detection pattern sequences, and false detection rates are measured to show the system performance.
