Innovative Self-Heating Driven Ultra-Wideband Tunable DFB Laser Array

This paper presents an ultra-wideband DFB laser array with a 4×3 matrix configuration and 5 nm wavelength spacing. Using the reconstruction-equivalent-chirp technique, precise wavelength control is achieved, with a tuning range of 5.8 nm per laser. The array, without TEC adjustment, achieves a 60 nm continuous tuning range. Integrated SOA amplifies the output to above 55 mW, with RIN below -130 dB/Hz and SMSR exceeding 45 dB. This laser array is ideal for DWDM and optical sensing systems, offering excellent single-longitudinal-mode properties.
