Study on Improving the Performance of FBG by Laser Cladding Metalization Mounting

In this paper, fiber Bragg grating (FBG) is coated with metal film by magnetron sputtering, and then embedded with metal capillary, and then the FBG assembly body is mounted on the stainless steel base by laser cladding. The experiment on a metal cantilever beam shows that this method of mounting FBG can achieve the same effect as the conventional adhesive method in strain measurement, and the response time and recovery time are increased by 36.8% and 37.5% respectively.
