A Semantic Assignment Algorithm for Ipv6 Trusted Addresses in Power Networks Considering Authentication

Conventional address allocation methods may only rely on the physical location of the device, while ignoring the key factor of device identity, which makes the address allocation less efficient. Therefore, we propose a semantic address allocation algorithm for IPv6 trusted addresses in power network considering identity authentication. The IPv6 address structure of power network is designed, which contains global routing prefix, subnet ID and interface ID, and sufficient address space is reserved to adapt to the needs of future network expansion and device access. Portal authentication is used to embed the authentication information of the power equipment into the interface ID part of the IPv6 address to verify the trustworthiness of the address. When formulating the address semantic allocation strategy, the unique IPv6 address is generated by combining the authentication information and the hierarchically assigned IP address prefixes with the address semantic labels, and the semantic allocation of IPv6 trusted address for power network is realized by the SDN controller. The experimental results show that the research method can significantly improve the IPv6 address allocation efficiency, reduce the address conflict rate, and maintain a high allocation success rate under various network loads, realizing the efficient and reliable allocation of IPv6 addresses in power networks.
