Research on Optimization of Claw Pole Motor Applied in Control Valve

In valve control systems, claw-pole stepper motors exhibit significant advantages in scenarios with high precision and stability requirements due to their unique structure. This paper takes the claw-pole permanent magnet stepper motor applied to control valves as the research object, focuses on the numerical analysis of its torque-angle characteristics. By exploring the influence rules of trapezoidal claw-pole structure parameters on the relationship between the motor’s electromagnetic torque and rotor position, the mapping relationship between parameter variations and torque-angle characteristics is established, and then the optimization strategy for key structural parameters is derived. Through comprehensive research on images displaying torque characteristics under different claw-pole parameters, the optimized claw-pole dimensions enable the motor to achieve a good balance between holding torque and braking torque. This balance ensures both precise initial positioning and stable load-carrying capacity, fully meeting the performance requirements of stepper motors for control valves.
