Real Time Electricity Theft Detection and Control using GSM and IOT Technology with Voltage Protection System

Electricity theft is a significant issue for power utilities across the world, resulting in financial losses. Currently, theft detection is carried out manually, requiring officials to go from house to house to monitor power consumption. Identifying the exact locations of power theft is challenging due to the lack of precise data. Additionally, periodic inspections for illegal connections require a large number of workers. To overcome this problem this paper proposes a real time theft detect and control using GSM and IOT technology and integrated with voltage protection system. This paper aims to detect electricity theft by monitoring the difference between the supplied and consumed current. If a deviation is detected, an alert is triggered, and a notification is sent to the electricity control board. This paper includes voltage protection to safeguard appliances and infrastructure from electrical surges, thereby enhancing safety and reliability.
