Adaptive Thermal Control using Dual Motors and PIC16F877A Microcontroller in Multi-Zone Environments

This paper presents a scalable and energy-efficient system for automatic temperature-based speed control of multiple DC motors using the PIC16F877A microcontroller. Each motor, functioning as a localized cooling fan, is paired with an LM35 temperature sensor to dynamically adjust its speed based on real-time environmental conditions. The system employs PWM signals via the L298 motor driver to regulate motor speed in discrete modes, improving power management by reducing the need for centralized cooling solutions. Real-time feedback is provided through an LCD and LED indicators, enhancing usability and transparency. Simulation results confirm the system’s effectiveness in independently managing motor speeds, showcasing its potential for deployment in smart homes, server rooms, and large commercial environments.
