Vehicle Accident Alerting and Monitoring with IoT-based Data Analytics

This project designs and implements a smart accident reporting and environmental monitoring system based on the Internet of Things. The system employs accelerometer data that surpasses a preset threshold to detect car accidents, and a flame sensor to detect fire-related events. When an incident is identified, the system locates the scene using GPS and transmits the data via a GSM module to facilitate a prompt emergency response. Additionally, the system uses appropriate sensors to continuously monitor parameters including temperature, humidity, alcohol, smoke, and carbon monoxide levels. The IoT platform receives these data points for real-time analysis and visualization. This integrated strategy promotes safety by enabling quick accident response and environmental monitoring, highlighting potential applications in smart transportation systems.
