Double loop hydraulic and electrical control design and implementation to electrohydraulic tray system

This work deals with the design and implementation of a closed-loop electrohydraulic system control through a dual-loop controller design approach. The first loop controller is operates based on the electrohydraulic actuator displacement error i. e. the proportional valve control to regulate actuator displacement and the second loop based on regulating the speed of the prime mover to regulate the speed of the pump hence the flow towards the circuit. The valve control approach is mostly acceptable due to its performance accuracy and speed of response, nevertheless, it has experienced huge energy loss. The energy loss is to continue through the proportional valve. The pump-controlled system possesses less energy loss but is slow in response due to its complex control method. To avoid that problem in the present study a combined controlled method is implemented. The valve-controlled method is integrated with the pump-controlled method. The pump control is made operational through the speed control of the prime mover to avoid the problem of speed of response. In the present study, a fuzzy PID controller is implemented for the combined control approach.
