Design method of adjustable bending and variable diameter hemostatic stent based on continuum structure

At present, as the way of vascular hemostasis has gradually developed from traditional compression to flexible intervention, especially for the bleeding points inside the human body, the covered hemostatic stent has become an important tool for the treatment of internal bleeding. It can promote vascular repair while stopping bleeding and reduce the occurrence of complications. However, traditional covered stents generally have problems such as non-adjustable bending, non-retractable and poor adaptability, which need to be further optimized to improve the hemostatic ability and bending adaptability. Therefore, this paper proposes a highly adaptable flexible variable diameter retractable hemostatic stent. Through the flexible continuum configuration and nickel-titanium wire, the stent can be flexibly adjusted in blood vessels with different curvatures; and the hollow skeleton of the continuum retains the blood flow in the blood vessel itself. At the same time, the petal structure is borrowed, and the opening and closing of the petals are controlled by the driving wire to achieve the rapid deployment and retraction of the hemostatic stent. Experiments have proved that the stent can achieve a maximum bending of 90°, and stably block the bleeding point and quickly retract it in the vascular model. The hemostatic stent design proposed in this paper breaks through the limitations of traditional stents and provides a fast and effective solution for bleeding in the human body.
