Predictor Feedback Control of Linear Time-Invariant Systems with Distinct Input Delays

In this paper, the stabilization of linear time-invariant systems with distinct input delays is further investigated. By analyzing the characteristic equation of the resulting closed-loop system, it is illustrated that the finite spectrum assignment can be achieved under the predictor-based control law in the continuous-time domain. Besides, an extension to discrete-time systems with distinct input delays is considered. For this end, predictor-based control laws are designed step by step to entirely compensate for the different delays in each input channel. It is demonstrated from the characteristic equation that the stability condition under the designed control law is independent of input delays.
