Determinants of Continuous Use Intention for Public Transport Mobile Apps Among Jakarta Passengers

The rise of mobile technology has profoundly influenced several sectors, including public transportation. Among these, the JakLingko app stands out for integrating several transport modes in Jakarta, including Transjakarta buses, KAI Commuter Line, MRT, and LRT Jakarta, into a single application. However, the users of the JakLingko application still remains low, despite its launch over three years ago. This study aims to identify the factors influencing users Continuance Intention regarding the JakLingko application, using the Modified UTAUT2 as its reference model. This research used a quantitative methodology with seven variables including Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Facilitating Conditions, Social Influence, Price Value, Hedonic Motivation, and Habit. The sample approach uses purposive convenience sampling, since the questionnaire targets just those who have used the JakLingko application. Respondents were collected using Google Forms disseminated via social media, resulting in 398 total respondents, of whom 378 were legitimate. The valid data collected from respondents were analyzed utilizing Structured Equation Model-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS, revealing five accepted hypotheses including Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Facilitating Conditions, Hedonic Motivation, and Habit, alongside two rejected hypotheses which are Social Influence and Price Value.
