Average Current Mode Control Of Three Phase Voltage Source Inverter With Constant Switching Frequency

This paper proposes an average current mode control of three phase full bridge voltage source inverter. The utilization of a counter-based frequency-limited switching strategy ensures a constant switching frequency operation. Here, a high-speed counter and an analog comparator are used to sense the average inverter current throughout the course of a switching period and based on that information, the average current is controlled. The proposed approach provides fast transient responsiveness, fixed switching frequency performance, and a distinct harmonic spectrum. The proposed method is validated through the simulation results.
