Development of Hardware in the Loop Platform for Fuel Cell Control System

The control model of fuel cell cannot run in real-time under the off-line simulation environment. This makes it impossible to test and verify the real operation of the control model in the controller hardware. With the purpose to meet the development requirements of fuel cell controller, the high-fidelity model is established and the hardware-in-the loop (HIL) platform is developed to test and verify the fuel cell controller. On the basis of the developed model and test platform, the off-line simulation test and HIL test is completed. The HIL testing results demonstrated that the simulation model and HIL platform can be used for the design and testing of control strategy of fuel cell system, reduces the times of bench test, has the potential to guide the research and application of controller.
